Buying School Uniforms Again

Now that school classes  shall soon start, parents and students are pretty busy having their kids enrolled and buying stuffs for them. For one, I shall need new uniforms for my kid because of his tight old uniforms already.

I wish to place him on strict diet since kids now are prone to lifestyle diseases like obesity.   I read somewhere that diabetes can come as early as 4 years old. I am pretty sure uniform tailors  today are pretty busy; I have to get one soon.

Present times have called everyone to be more health conscious as lifestyle becomes more poor. It is wiser to get insurances through finding reasonable  life insurance quote   to keep one safe.

Just recently, our youngest nephew got sick and the bill was quite something. Indeed, insurance can help in times of big need.

Playing Dress Up on Recognition-Graduation Day

the three musketeers! oops the princes  of Grade 1

the senior prep graduations on their opening prayer

March is typically the month of school graduations. My kid and nephew just had their graduation/recognition day. Since they were in Grade 1,  they simply wore their Prince costumes and brought with us their school  uniform for the awarding.

The venue was filled by guardians, parents and other relatives for over 100 students.  In between the graduation program of the senior prep, other student levels were quite cool on their respective costumes as they portrayed their presentation.

We just had great time watching the  program in spite of extreme heat. LOL!

The Philippines' Countryside Costumes

My rock-n- roll kid and nephew on the most basic costume for Native Filipinos

The other preschooler kids on their barong at saya costume with the teachers as mentors

I had the chance to have these pictures when my younger sibling uploaded the pictures from my pop's camera.

The kids had their celebration of Buwan ng Wika as a mandated national month for the Filipino language.  Their presentations were wild but kids are kids, so, we were even delighted to see them all on stage.

We were quite proud to see my kid and nephew doing their dance number. LOL!

Prince Costumes on Graduation Day

My kid and nephew shall have their graduation ceremony in a few hours and we were required to dress them up as a prince. The program is actually joined with the acceleration program of preschoolers and grade 1 kids to higher level. Further, they shall hold their final ceremony too before the parents and shall hold some singing and dancing numbers. My kid gladly told me they will be role  - playing Cinderella.

We had hard time looking for some costumes since my kid is way too big for his age. But, we were lucky to have a nice pair of costumes in dashing red! I wish to take some photos of them with their costumes on but it is still 5 am and the kids are still snoring. LOL!

Perhaps in my next post, I can show off the costumes. Until then.

Kids' Style

In the Philippines, people are normally on sweat shirt of sleeveless shirts and shorts. Blame this to the humid and hot weather in the country.

The kids are always on "sando" or short sleeves just to cool them off. I got the picture below of my kid and his friends.

Picking the Right Clothes for Bigger Kids

My son is quite big for his age. He is just 6 years old but his weight is around 30 kg. My, I only weigh 45 kgs. My family would usually buy him clothes but the usual problem is for these stuffs to fit him well. It would just be a matter of weeks, then these would be hand over to my nephew who is 1/2 of his size but they share the same age.

He loves eating though, we have to be blamed because we give in his demand. He has this nasty habit of telling, "Mommy, I am already hungry. My tummy is aching." Who can actually not give in to that? Hahhahahahahha! But now, we train him not to give in to his cravings. Water and fruits indeed help.

But he is still of bigger size. We have to look for his clothings at the old kid's sections just to check for the right sizes. Having a boy to look for some clothes, at least, is easy, picking the right size is not. Sigh!
